Blue Triangle Association - Apprentice Intakes
January 1948 saw the first intake of Trade Apprentices arrival at RAAF School of Technical Training ( RSTT) Wagga Wagga NSW at the same time the Radio Trade Apprentices arrived At RAAF Frognall in Melbourne to begin their 3 years of training.

In July of 1948 there was a second intake

A few years later the Junior Equipment and Administrative Trainees (Jeats) Program commenced and they took on the same name as the corresponding years trade Apprentices

The RAAF Apprentice Scheme continued 1993 with some changes along the way as to length of training and period of enlistment.

The Technical Apprentices were given an Intake Name.  The Radio apprentices did not bother. at times there were attempts to have the first letter of the Intake name spell a word or two.  The first attempt was nipped in the bud on naming the 4th Intake. However there were several successes that at the time escaped the eys of the  Higher Authorities

Naming rights were the prerogative of the Last Junior Intake,  eg those who were about to become 2nd Year apprentices.

In excess of 6000 Apprentices enlisted in the RAAF via the scheme
