I've seen this photo up for some time and thought it was time
the answer came out.
The 'Mustang Jockeys' was taken early 1955 at RSTT aircraft gun
firing stop butt, located just east of where all the old WW11
surplus aircraft were stored when we Daffys arrived in Jan
1953. The aircraft was set up on jacks and the Daffy armament
course loaded the six 50 caliber Browning machine guns for
firing into the butts. All part of our aircraft/gun
harmonization training.
The stunningly handsome guy at the back with his ears sticking
out like open cab doors is Sgt/App David Scott {me} and L/App
Graham McAleer in front.
Regards, Dave Scott
